Just get the oil and filter changed every 3,000 mi. and you won't have to worry about which brand of oil you use. Just use the weight oil recommended by your manufacturer. I've done this for years and drove my cars well over 150,000 mi. without an engine malfunction. Don't forget auto. trans service. I have my trans. fluid and filter changed every 35,000 mi. or at the manufacturers recommended interval.
