Unfortunately, old Toyota turbocars were only GM or Dodge reliable.
A mechanic at DVNT says that every time he had to pull a motor out to fix it, it was either turbo or supercharged and it cost LOTS!
This included old Turbo Celicas, MR2's, Supras, and Previas. However, the newer models, like 1993 and up were better.
No 2jz-gte's from late model supras had to be pulled, and only one last gen MR2 turbo had to be pulled.
