My buddy and I pulled a 5S-FE out of his 94 Camry 2 weeks ago.

Its easier to pull the engine with the tranny.

You could unbolt the tranny from the engine and support it with a tranny jack or whatever, but goodluck getting the engine and tranny to line backup when you bolt it back together.
