Ok, so ya, the wires were on the cap wrong. They're labeled, but its hard to tell if the #s were indicating to the right or left of where they were. I'm sure other people would have known better but guess thats my dyslexia kicking in. So I switched tme around twice, cause I didnt realize 1 isnt at 10 o clock but actually like 8. So it ran better, managed to idle for several minutes, but still died. But, it was able to run without sputtering like before. My friend tried to turn the dizzy some and it stabilized a bit more, but when it idles the miss still occurs, but its not constant. It just happens intermitently with no pattern. I still havent figured out where I can put taht ground from the dizzy, but I don't think it'd have such an impact. The vacuum lines going by the dizzy are connected as well.

I decided to drive the car to my friend's place, since his dad is pretty mechanically savvy and will look at this week since I have no time during the week to toy with things with my work schedule. It managed to make the 30 min. drive with no issues other than occasionally stalling when I'd have to stop. I didnt get on it really hard, as it still felt not as strong as it should be, plus I thought I heard some pinging in 5th gear, but going easier on the throttle it dissapared. Anyway, hopefully my friend and his dad can figure out what's going on. Anyone else have any thoughts? Anyone know whats involved with setting igntion timing? I really need to buy a manual. lol. Hope to do so soon
