Strut Braces

Since I've been browsing the web for parts for my car I noticed allot of different makes and shapes of strut braces. I found these on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1870997857
Looks like garbage to me.
Anyway my question is your guys recommendations?
And does it REALLY make that much difference?
Oh and I tried as search on "strut braces" and got everything but

strut bars do make a difference. however, if its paying $300 for a cusco one or $75 for a Ractive one, I'll take the $75 Ractive.

A bar, is a bar is a bar. as long as its hollow and feels sturdy, then it'll do fine for me.

Ol' skoolers, prior to mass manufacturing of Strut Braces, used to use a metal pipe that was cut to the length of the strut towers and either welded it in or bolted it in. Probably cost them $30 at the most.

yeah! 8) dunno what is the different for cheap once and expansive once. :o i think it just look better, and u will not getting problem when u installing it. Like some model ractive strut tower bar that will hit the engine. :evil:
i have a ford probe, it needs to adj the position when i installing it . also, my friend got a volk golf, he is not lucky. the engine hit the strut bar every time when he pushing gas, :evil: so he changed to neuspeed's strut bar.
haha, i'm driving ae92 right now, the car come with strut bar. :P
if u want to buy a strut bar, u need to make sure will it fit or not, dun spent money.

One thing I noticed in my engine bay is my Cruise control thingamajig might be in the way. Anybody here have a 98+ w/CC what type of brace did you use?
