86 rolla sedan, camber way off?

86 fwd sedan:
soo, ive gone through a set of tires in about 8k miles
rotations and all, and from what i can tell the front camber is horribly off, the tires wear at the outside edge, driver side is the worst, but still.
les schwabs says that the camber is off, but there is no adjustment for it....what the hell?
if theres no adjustment how could it get off?

If the car has struts, the length of the springs affects the camber, as does the length of the CV joints. on a front wheel drive. For example, I have a '91 prizm where a previous owner decided to lower the front of the car by sawing off a coil or two from the bottom of the springs. The result is that the front wheels are splayed out and the inside of the front tires are worn down to the metal bands. I'm not familiar with the '86. Does it have front struts? Has the camber gone off only recently? If so, have you had any suspension work done like new struts or cv joints?

Has your car been in an impact? sounds alot like theres framedamage. IF the suspension is stock there shouldnt be POSITIVE CAMBER (tires wearing from the outer edge) ITs normal to have some NEGATIVE camber (tires wearin from the inner edge.

well....the fronts arnt stock, i put front struts off a 87 FX16 GTS....full replacement.

im betting thats why... damnit, but it handles so well!
the only other thing was that it was in an impact about 10 years ago. and this is a recent thing sooo yeah, im going to blame the fancy struts

and under close inspection, there is a camber ring thing that goes on hub bracket and adjusts that way, but its rather....unexact
