"The Club" vs. Masterlock... opinions ?

Looking for a steering wheel lock. I know its not the best but it is something.

Anyhow,

"The Club" looks solid but has that sawing through the steering wheel problem that Masterlock solved with more than two "arms". The bad guys would have to saw the whole thing off to take it off. Masterlock had/has the problem of easy picking.

Opinions ?

George

I prefer the pedal lock. But that might wear out the pedal more (by pulling it instead of pushing). Used to have that pedal lock, with Solex door and trunk locks on my old car.

There are also removeable steering wheels...just make sure the bolt pattern is unique and nobody can have a duplicate wheel. Otherwise that's easy to steal.

A very simple theft deterent device I made for a friend several years back was a simple toggle switch with 3 terminals. We spliced the start wire from the ignition switch and used that as center with the other cut end connecting to an end. The other end went to the car horn. The switch was hidden at the front edge of the drivers seat so you didn't have to make any noticeable motions to arm/disarm it. The sound of your own horn blowing in the middle of the night will bring you out of a deep sleep!
Total cost, under $20.

So you used a SPDT switch where one position the car starts and the other turning ignition to start would cause the horn to blow instead of starting the car?
