Does the 1999 Corolla has a fuel filter?

Hi guys,
I wanted to do the full complete serice on my car. It's 1999 Corolla VE, with 89000 miles on it. So far I have changed the plugs, PCV valve, air filter by myself. The nearby shop did transmission oil, differential oil, engine oil. Now comes the plug cables and the fuel filter, but all the stores does not seem to carry it. It seems the year 1998-2001 do not have fuel filter. So what does the car use to filter the fuel?
Did I miss anything else on a major service?

100% sure theres a fuelfilter, get an OEM one from toyota.

Actually the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump. It is supposed to be a lifetime part(which basically means the life of the fuel pump). There is no need to replace it unless you are getting symptoms that your fuel pump is going out. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the answer. So I guess it is special for these year models 1998-2001 b/c my older 1987 Corolla had a fuel filter separately. I wonder if this design is of an advantage or disadvantage.

Differential oil I didn't think front wheel drives had that...Hope you didn't pay extra for that service...Radd Guy...

My old 1987 had differential oil and it was a front wheel drive. My brother in law has the 1991 Camry and it has differential.

So I think front wheel drive does have the differential. Matter of facts the mechanic showed that it had two separate compartments, transmission and differential. Some cars, the differential and the transmission oil are connected so the oil changing is cheaper.

I believe you, What I meant was that it doesn't take 90W as a rear differential would. I'm just going by what that links said that the two were connected meaning both ran on tranny fliud not 90 weight....I have had Toyota's starting in 85 and never knew/changed any 90w gear oil in front ...Radd Guy...

I trust this mechanic as he told me not to service a few things that did not needed. He also showed me how to do my own on other things. Sorry, my knowledge of cars is limited. I know more about computers.

my daughter just bought a 99 corolla, owners manual says 3 spd auto has separate diffrerential requiring gear oil, 4 spd auto has no separate differential. fram lists 2 different auto trans filters 4 this car, one for 3 spd, another for 4 spd
