1999 Corolla CD player installation - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I am running into 2 problems.

1.) the plastic air duct is keeping the cd player from sliding all the way in. (it almost will latch)

2.) The cd player hole(the part the clock is connected to) is a little to small for the face to flip down to insert a CD.

I am sure someone has installed their own cd player. I am looking for any helpful hints to make this look good. Any help is appreciated.

I have a '99 and have installed two of them so far(someone tried to jack the first one but just screwed it up). I have yet to have any problems in my install so I just have a couple of questions. What CD player are you trying to install? Both of mine have been Pioneer HU. What have you done so far as far as the install goes? Hopefully we can help you out.

it is a single din off brand cd player. I removed the plastic piece with the clock and air vents,wired it up and put the cd player in. I then tried to put the air vent piece back on top. It would latch with some force, but the face would not fold down to put in a cd
