System got Jacked

Driver side door, they used a slim jim right throught the weather stripping. Ripped the entire dash apart trying to get the deck out. Even went into my glove box and stole my ipod. The even sadder thing is they went into my backpack and took my calculas book and my calculator. Honestly some people just have no respect for personal property. I'm 20 years old and putting my self through college, i work hard during the summer to install a system into my car. Which i had to install myself. So now i cant even buy a old crappy deck since the brackets and the dash its self is ripped into pieces. Sorry im just venting right now. Im pissed off.

Can they still use my deck even if they never stole the faceplate?

the only reason I'd think they'd steal the used math book is to sell it back to the college to get extra money for drugs. is there anyway you can get a record of any people that have sold that math book back to your college after your break in?

Man, that sucks. We have lots of heroin in our town, and there are druggies everywhere stealing shit and selling it. I know your pain.

You can call local bookstores and colleges and tell them to look out for a shady guy selling one math book, but aside from that just report it to the police. You may get lucky and they might find them!

Did the cops come to your house about the robbery? Did she get the car back?

yea she got the car back but it had to go through the whole police system thing (dont ask me what that is, i think they like inspect it and make sure that theyre isnt anything illegal in the car that might have been left). and yes the cops did come to us about the car, but they knew it was stolen because we had contacted them before the bank robbery happened.

when our escort was stolen I saw the guy in it 2wks later right in our small town so I followed him home. no more joy rides for him now but he ragged out my car in that 2wks so I sold it and got the corolla. a guy got the escort for his college daughter. poor girl I hope it didnt break down on her. the little thieving runt got what was coming and then some. he's in lockdown for a long time since he broke out of jail afterwards so he'll have to do the best he can when big ol' lonely tyrone and bubba come looking for some company.

do you have an alarm installed on your car? i think it helps......also i think you can find shops that install the whole thing (complete alarm and install) for around or about $100, which is not bad at all......

As far as I know if they dont have the faceplate then having the deck is useless.
They are coded one to one.
So unless they can flash the deck and burn a new code onto it for a face that they have, its useless to them.
The only people that can do that are serious about the "business", so at that rate don't even bother trying to recover your stuff cuz it's long gone =/
Either that or they are just idiot kids who didnt know any better, and you should probably just ask around your town about it, you'll find out who did it... I did when it happened to me.

dude I have an extra pair I bought from Standard auto a while ago, also I know where there's a 90 SR5 that if I remember correctly it was blue in case you need trim parts too.

BTW how did they bypass the alarm?? reason being is because I'm thinking of getting an alarm on my 90GTS.
