Si will be a quick car out of the box and good aftermarket, for sure. Although, the price for the new Si is ridiculous (in Canada atleast). Projected MSRP is around $5000 more than that of a fully loaded XRS (only $4000 less than the RSX Type S). Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, the new Si official curb weight is 2900 lbs, which is about 250 lbs more than the XRS.

My suggestion is to start modding your XRS, there are plenty of intakes and exhausts so far that work for Corolla XRS. (Check out 9th gen corolla site).

I sat in the new SI and it was absolutely perfect.....except for the laggy fly by wire throttle.

It's the Japanese Type R! I'm fine if it's only 4K less than the RXS-S, it is the same thing with a better interior and an LSD.

Oh and the shifter felt perfect. Oh and there was absolutely no fender gap with the factory optional 18" wheels.

It was a really slick car, and if I could afford the insurance I'd get one and put a mechanical cable throttle body from a Japanese RSX on it to get rid of the fly by wire throttle then it would be perfect.

Stock it is a driver's race between the RSX-S/06 SI and the Corolla XRS. I've pwn'd two RSX-S in my mildly modified XRS
