GTS strut bar

hey i got a strut tower bar off a 88 gts for my 90 sr5.....if i mounted it but didnt drill the holes out in the firewall...for the third mount point.would it work the same?..... ......is it hard to cut the firewall and bolt in????...... i see the spot to cut but are there bolts weled on behind the metal...?.....would i have to install my own?.........help help guys ......

When I put the GTS strut bar on I just drilled and tap the spots on the firewall and it sits in place firmly!!

u tapped?......is there an existing bolt behind the sheetmetal?.......or did u just set it in place?

tapping the sheet metal there isn't the best idea...... what you want to do is pull off your windshield wipers, then the black covering where the motor is. You will then have access to behind where you need to drill. I used some like 14mm bolts (bolt thread, not socket size) on mine.

I need to get one of these. So just drill out the spots there and bolt it up? Sounds good. Who wants to sell me one? Please?
