I was thinking of tinting my windows but a friend of my said don't even bother its just a toyota corolla. Not what i wanted to hear i love my 96 rollo but here's my car what do you all think.
Yes, you should tint. all cars look better tinted.
people won't break into your car to steal what they cannot see.
it will keep you cooler in the summer heat.
your uppholstery will not fade as quickly.
need any more reasons?

Looking at a tinted car, one might also consider breaking in to find out if the tint is hiding anything valuable inside.
YEAH, LIKE A DOBERMAN!!!
In my experience, ppl are generally afraid of the unknown, and they don't try to steal what they cannot see. my brother had his supra broken into twice in my parents driveway when we both lived at home. his was an 84, white, no tint, and an alarm. mine was an 87, black tint, and no alarm. We both had decent stereos.

Tint is good, but nothing too dark. And as for that last comment, well...they used to say that about me too. 8)
I have 30% on my front windows(max allowed by law) and someone broke into mine. It was at night at a club so i guess it didn't suprize me too much. However once they saw my siren, they went on to another car.
btw, yes I have lights and a siren on my Camry, I am a volunteer EMT at home.
looks like i am going for the tint as for the post about my interior i bought this car for 4 grand and it only had 38,000 miles i got it from metro toyota we know the owner thats why i got it for so cheap well the interior looks brand new not a thing faded.
I'm not into the blacked out tint that's so dark, but something that cuts down on UV as advantageous. I never got tint on my AE92 because I did not want it peeling and looking like s***. Looking back, I really wish I did tint because the tops of the back seats are quite faded now on an otherwise very clean interior. As far as peeling, if you get it done at a reputable shop they will guarantee it and reapply if necessary.
As far as using tint to cut down on theft, I am reminded of the old 'no radio' decals that some wishful thinkers used to use. Someone once had a 'no radio' sticker on their car but it got broken into anyway, and a note was left behind that said 'just checking'. Only my old man used to buy cars without a radio (wish I'd kept some of the old block-off plates).
A car with tinted windows has never detered any criminal that I know of. I think of it this way, I see a car with tinted windows I pop the lock out get into the car close the door and now by the time sombody may have heard me pop the lock looks out the window I'm totally hidden to rummage for valuables behind nice tinted windows. I think tints on a car look good you should go with limo (black) tint. As far as peeling, if you get it done by a Pro they will warrenty the job. IMO tint jobs should be the same % all the way around. I hate it when the back is blacked out and you can see right through the front.
as for my friend he drives a jeep and you know what they say its a cheep thing lol any way i am going this weekend ad getting tint done on 35% cause in ohio 50% is the law but thats like no tint at all so i am going with the 35% should look ok on my rolla thanks guys for all the info and opps.
