How Remove 98-02 Front Turn Lamp Lens?

Need to change right front turn lamp on my 98 Corolla. Owners manual says remove one screw and pull lens assembly out and then remove lamp holder and change bulb.

While pulling on the turn/marker lamp assembly to remove it the clear lens cover glue joint gave way and the lens popped off. This gave me more grip to pull the assembly out, but even then the unit would not budge.

I tried a long screwdriver to pry a little on the lens support area but it would not move. I tried the left lens assembly and it wouldn't come out either.

What am I missing here? This should be an easy thing.

Also, any recommendation on an adhesive to glue the clear lens cover back on the lens housing?

Yes I removed the screw the owners manual said to remove. I wonder if there is another screw(s) in there somewhere. The housing only moves a little bit when I pull on it. Even gently prying with the screwdriver it only moves a little bit.

I picked up some acrylic cement today and will give that a try to glue the lens cover on the body, unless someone has a better suggestion.

I could not get the assembly out of the car. I don't know what is holding it in. I hope the bulb never burns out because I might break the assembly getting it out.

I glued the lens cover on using Weld-on #16 Clear, Thickened Cement for Acrylic Sheet. It is supposed to be good for several other plastics as well (Polycarbonate, Butyrate, PETG, PVC and Styrene). Seems to be holding well.
