My new '06 S

So far I love this car. Got it Monday and got 33 mpg on first tank and about 36 mpg on second. I'm in sales so I travel a lot. About 1000 miles in week 1!! Good ride...seats are relatively comfortable and handling is good. I got buffeted by thed wind somnewhat but no big deal. So far so good...

Congrats on the new ride. It will definitely help with travel. And, it's a nice looking car.

2003 S

You've got a great looking car...

I've been debating switching to a Yaris to lower my monthly cost somewhat but I absolutely love my Corolla S.

Everything from the 6 speakers, 8/10 Baby Camry size, bigger tires, black interior, white guages, skirt/spoiler...

Also just drove the Yaris, didn't know there was a shifting automatic tranny - this might make up for some of the loss....

Enjoy that Corolla you've got there - you never know what you miss until you don't have it.

It's very dorky, but it's always fun to see what kind of gas mileage you can squeeze out. So far I have managed 39 mpg max. This was average over one full tank 90% highway 70+ mph.

Just a couple of things I wish were changed in my car...the steering wheel...I wish it was telescoping...too far away for me as I have the seat back as far as it will go and the seat back reclined more than usual. Also, there is no instrument lighting on the dashboard to the left of the steering column where the mirror control is and where the dashboard dimming control is. What's up with that? Another lighting issue is on the drivers armrest there is only one light on the drivers power window switch and it is extremely dim. It lights up the auto lettering on the drivers window control but there are no other lights on that cluster of controls on the door. Since they already ran wiring to the door you think they would ave illuminated all of the window controls. I talked to the dealer and asked...they said there was nothing there but what I have described...oh well...still love the car!!

You forgot to add that giant second pedal, I hate it.....I hope they improve on it when the redesigned 07's come out next year, I'm ready to trade my 03's in for a tenth generation,.....Also they could put in variable intermittent windshield washers and a padded console on the S model like the LE has, one other thing it needs is cruise control illumination........Radd Guy...
