Does anyone in here know about any Perf. Parts for the XRS? I am having a real hard time finding any aftermarket parts available for my car. Please help.

Also, I have been hearing that the corolla xrs has the same engine that the celica gts and matrix xrs have. Please excuse me for sounding dumb, I had a dodge neon before and its been a while since I have been into the mortorsports seen. Someone help me with some answers.

hmm.. where's all the XRS guys when you need them.

The Corolla XRS, Celica GTS and Matrix XRS all have the same motor. The 2ZZGE motor, although its the same for all 3 cars, it has different power ratings and not everything fits perfectly from one to the other as I believe all 3 engine bays look somewhat different.

^ most likely, they're all the same engine with same spec, just on the 2ZZGE, they've changed spec every year. (so 01 02 03 04 05 have different spec)

The XRS, what type of mods are you looking for? there's not much to do, 6spd, strut bar, rear disc brakes, lowered 1 inch already, skirts....what else do you need?

There are about 4 CAIs/SRIs, custom magnaflow exhaust (any competent exhaust shop should be able to MANDREL BEND them), Camcon is a good way to tune VVT-i, any Fidanza 2zzge flywheel, Tein springs, and MAYBE an apex-i PFC (in lieu of Camcon) if it mates up (GTS celica has one, I don't know if it applies to XRS re: harnesses)

Thank you for the input guys. As far as "what else I need for my car, I was thinking more on the lines of engine parts. I am aware of the intake systems and I believe that DC Sports is making a 4-2-1 header for the corolla. Now heres another question, has anyone heard of or done any internal engine work on their xrs. Does anyone know where I can get some head work done? someone with a good rep. for porting and polishing heads.

NM is correct. Right now there is a wide selection of cold air intakes and catback exhausts available for the XRS and with a good combination (Injen intake and Magnaflow catback), XRS is consistently dynoing around 170 whp. Very good gains. Check out 9th gen Corolla site for lots of info on the XRS (tons of XRS owners there).
