Wheels for '97 Corolla

I'd like to apologize in advance if this subject has been addressed before, but I could not find anything on point in a search. So here's my question. Will a 16x7 wheel with a 35 offset fit a 1997 Corolla? Currently stock suspension, but considering Eibach Pro-Kit springs which are supposed to drop it 1 inch all the way around. Thanks in advance for your help!

P.S. I forgot to mention that my plan is to install 205/45x16 tires. That is the same diameter as the stock tires according to Tire Rack.

They are the same diameter.. but the wheel offset will probably make the tires rub on the fender. You're better off going with a 38-43mm offset which will be further away from the fender and inner wheel well.

Thanks for the quick response. One follow up question though. With a 38-43 offset that moves the wheel "in" (away from the fender), won't I have clearance problems in the inside of the wheel since the wheel is 2 inches wider than stock (and I suspect the tire is even wider than that)?
