Turbo!@#!@#

i found a turbo for 3,000 that has everthing i need but it will add to like 135 since i have only 100 but the thing is that i can get a car that has 164hp already what do you guys think i should do? but i heard that the engine wont be able to handle that much power so it would blow the engine, and plus i think its a lot of money what would you guys do?

Invest in the better car. It'll be more reliable as a stock engine than the turboed engine.

there's a lot more to do with a cars performance than just it's HP. can you beat a 600hp turbo deisel 18wheeler going up a steep hill?

Yeah, but the weight is tenfold on the truck.. but if you had two cars, both 1000kg, other with 100 more hp, it would win

right..... but my post was purely to get him to understand that a car with 150whp that weighs 3,000lbs may not outrun a car that has 100whp that weighs 2,000lbs

and that isn't counting gear ratios, torque, or the motors ability to make power throughout the band.

like i've said on another board.... who cares if a turbo car makes 200whp at 8,000 rpm's if you're not making much more than 100whp under 4,000 rpm's with no torque (exaggerated.... but again, just to give people an idea)
