No. Quality OEM replacement parts are all you need for a stock motor. Better plugs and wires won't hurt or help you.

from what I heard putting better spark plugs/wires, and dizzy cap will make a little difference. All the car shows I watch say that and people I know who have modified their cars. Just allows the spark plugs to use more of the power being supplied to them, doesn't matter how much power is going to them if they aren't designed to use it all.I would recommend replacing the coil too although I don't know where it is with the 4af engines, with the 4age engines it's on the firewall

here is my advice to you (and what i did with my smallport). Get rid of the smallport wires & cap. Buy a cap for either an ae86 or an ae82 (either has to be a GTS). Choose the cap that has all 5 plug wire fittings facing upwards. Get a bigport cap (any ae92, ae86, ae82 gts rotor will work) and get the wires from a bigport.

the smallport uses the much smaller 5mm diameter wires. this is a very easy upgrade on the smallport all while doing a quick tuneup.

however, if it's never been changed, changing the o2 sensor may have better effects to overall performance and fuel economy (unless you're always at WOT, which the o2 is ignored)

Please don't post responses if you are not sure what you are talking about.
If you must just say, "I've heard they are better but I don't really know"

well that is really up to you? Either way you will spend the same amount. So if it's better for you to save the money up, or just purchase the parts seperatly either way in the end you will get the same thing.
