Clutch Slipping
I recently bought a 2002 Corolla S with 72K. I've put about 3000 miles on it in 2 months and noticed on a trip through the mountains that the clutch was slipping a little (the car was very loaded down at the time). This only happened 2-3 times on a 300-mile trip. When not loaded and driving on relatively flat ground, the car rides fine. The other day, I had the car parked (turned off) on a flat surface and in 1st gear, emergency brake NOT engaged, and when leaning on the hood the car rolled back some.
Is this cause for concern? Might the clutch need to be adjusted? I can't imagine that the clutch is worn out after only 75K. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
