No I didn't get it out by my deadline of today. The car is gone. I'll see if I can find out what yard it was dropped off at but they might have just sqiushed it as soon as they got it seeing how it was almost completely striped.

Transmission being new...

- the casing is aluminum/magnesium (whatever it is it won't EVER rust)
- Judging the contents of a box by how clean the box is itself doesn't make sense whatsoever...a transmission isn't any different
-black crap all over it = undercoating (won't effect the inside of the transmission)

Of course your engine is JDM. It's the same engine they used in Japan (4AGE), only with an AFM instead of map-sensored setup. There is no difference between the engines used here and in Japan aside from that (as far as I know). Unless it's special in some way, there would be no point to import an engine from Japan, and convert it to the AFM setup

But isn't there a HP difference in the two? How is it the JDM Trueno has 130HP and our Corolla has 113HP? Or was this just missinformation I got?

128 and 113.

the difference is in the type of air flow sensor used and the lack of the EGR on the jdm engines

NA = AFM JDM = MAP

I got rid of it on monday. I'll try and figure out what yard it was sent to. All the rear suspension, a new muffler and pipe, the catalaic converter, headers, the front control arms, gas tank, front and rear bumpers, gas cap and rear windshield were still on the car.

Thoe I'd like to see it one last time to snag the vin numbers as a keep sake. Then I could put them on a key chain wiht the keys to that car and hang it on my wall with a picture of the car.
