AE92 Whats up with this sunroof?

I think the only thing I dislike about my car is the sunroof. It's not so much having one. No leaks and such. but you know in a car with already limited head room because of the lower ceiling... you think they wouldn't lower it another inch for the models with the sunroof.
Anyone else find this annoying? and has anyone with that style put bucket seats in their car? and did it lower you enough to fix that?

oh and when closing the sunroof it hits a spot and just stops, now if I just hit the button again it will contiune closing, was wondering if that is normal. Or if there is a dead spot in the motor

It's normal for the sunroof to stop halfway...a safety feature Ai believe. As far as the sun roof being low...not sure if I understand. I have a '06 S and love my sunroof. I'm 6 foot and have no problem with height og the ceiling.

Dpiersma the newer corollas, and the sedan have a higher roof that the 1989 2 door coupe I have. I am 6 foot, and cannot sit up straight lol. Because the sunroof is the kind the rolls back into the roof rather than pop out and roll back it lowers your ceiling about an inch, which is alot in that car lol vbmenu_register("postmenu_949111", true);

the sr5 seat isn't as nice. You can only adjust the front bottom of the seat. So I should contine my quest for a set of gts seats then? I just wanted them for the adjustable side supports :p

I'm 6'2" and sunroof in my 04 is not a bother. That "safety" feature, on the other hand, pisses me off.

of course your sunroof doesn't bother you in your 04, I am talking about the 88 - 92 corolla 2 door coupe! the roof is ALOT higher in the newer corollas. the ae92 looks like it has been squished down towards the ground. :p
