AE92 accelerator problem?

Well in first and second gear in my 1989 ae92 with the 4af engine if I let go of the gas pedal the car will lurch back and forth, not to bad. but annoying. Only does it if I fully release the pedal. I was wondering if anyone might have had a smiliar problem. I was thinking I might need a new throttle cable. BUt not totally sure. I also don't think my car is in the best condition ever, not super bad but not great either. These are both things that were like that when I got the car.

yea man exact same stuff is happening to my car i dunno maybe its normal nothing that seems wrong maybe its just front wheel drive, i havnt driven many types of cars so i cant say maybe its the same with all of them i have a gt-s and it lurches forward and what not when say im going down a back lane and let go of the gas then press it agian or when i just let go. Just man when you care for your car you get worried about every single thing, its good you notice this stuff that way youll notice when something big is going wrong.

AE92

yea I knowtice alot of things, From small little noises to the feeling such a vibrations and such. I think my valves have gotten a little louder. I think it might be out throtle cables. But I don't want to spend the money on replacing it if thats not it.
Sadly I was thinking my tranny might be on it's way out? there is a whine when it slows down in second gear, something like a turbo but I don't have a turbo. IF it goes I don't blame it at all on the quality of the car. I just suck at standard, getting better but I keep trying new shit out. And reving high all the time can't help the matter or shoving it in 2nd for just about every corner I take lol.

Its normal, because the carb throat closes, same would happen with an EFI, but I've found it to be more noticeable with carbs, thanks to their instant response.

Pretty common issue, mine does it too. Never found the source, i think it may have something to do with worn out engine mounts but thats just a educated guess

Well when I got the car the acclerator had about a cm or so of slack, I hated it was driving me up the wall. So I tightened the accelerator cable. and I had no problems for awhile. But the way I drive is a little hard so I think the cable has bit the dust lol.
If anything I am more worried about the whine when slowing down with 2nd gear ...

Theres not that much pull-force on it, the cable doesnt "wear out", it stretches some when you install a new one, but when its time is up, it will snap, that doesnt happen really often.
