Howdy - new to forum

Hello all - I am new to forum.

Say we have a 93 Corolla with about 74K miles. We bought it when it was a rental, only about 6 months old, back in 93.

I find it interesting that we still have original muffler and brakes. Actually the only major work done on the vehicle to date is the rear struts.

The only other problem was the brake lamp would not go off. With it on all the time, the cruise would not engage. After a bunch of trouble shooting, I finally disconnected a sensor wire from the master cylinder, and the problem went away. Not sure if that is just a "low fluid" sensor, but the brakes seem fine. Comments?

Fill up the brake fluid and it will go away.

yeah its a low fluid sensor the system is supposed to be calibrated so when your brakes are worn out the light will come on, But if anyone but the dealer and sometimes even the dealer added fluid without paying attention to the calibration it makes the light invalid or wrong.

try adding some fluid, if it doesn't go away the switch could be defective.

Oh id bet its had front pads as the average life span seems to be 40-50K on the front and 80-100k or the back..

The muffler my dads 96 camry with 196K still has the orginal muffer, PS When it does go get the toyota part not some cheesy knock off
