Question Door weatherstripping source

I just bought a 1990 Corolla 4dr Sedan. Someone has removed all of the door weatherstripping, except for the front passenger door. Does anyone know where I can buy replacements? I haven't tried any salvage yards yet, but I figure they won't want to sell just the weatherstrip. Usually they want to sell you the whole door. Thanks in advance for any information.

why wouldn't they wanna sell the weatherstipping? I've bought it before, they don't care whether the door sells or not, chances are they're gonna melt the whole car if it doesn't sell in pieces, either way they still make money.

You would think so, but I have tried to buy parts such as this before and run into this problem. I am going to call around some yards tomorrow and see if I can get some, as well as a headlight (the one still works, but is rusty inside from water. It has a rock hole in the lens.) and a good headliner.

just find a U-pull yard they wont care, they never do half the time they don't care what its off of.

Ah when she was in her glory, Not so nice anymore 358k 17years old her time is getting short ....

Find a place that will let you take whatever you want (ie: Pick n Pull), or go to Toyota.

yep.. that's the good thing about some junkyards.. specially places like Standard Auto Wreckers in Toronto.. they got the pick and pull area where you can take anything off the car yourself, and the off limits area where they keep the good cars that they will actually make money out of selling the parts because they're in excellent shape.

Around here very few, if any, yards will let you do that anymore. They claim it is because of insurance.

Well, I did find the weatherstripping. It was at a yard close to here. It was at one of the very few yards that will let you pull it yourself. Cost....5 bucks for all three doors. I found a few other minor pieces that it really didn't need, but for an extra 5 bucks I got them anyway.
