quick question, white smoke/winter

now that winter is almost here and the weather is freakin COLD, when i start my car in the morning and its not fully warmed up yet, it starts to pump out white smoke from the tailpipe, just wondering if this is normal? is this about my valve seals or anything? and what if i see white smoke and draining coolant? is this normal?

I have white smoke the odd time when is tart up my car, like the car start theres a puff of white smoke then its fine. I was told its just from moisture, but they said if it continues it could be a seal.
