Unhappy Jacking up my car- Problems

Okay, now that cold weather has arrived in the lovely state of Minnesota, I've retired my SR5 to the garage for some much-needed rust repair, and my junker sedan is out to tackle the extreme temperatures. First step in getting my SR5 worked on is jacking up the front-end, and I've already run into trouble. The undercarriage is rusted like NO OTHER!!! I'm afraid to jack up the car, in fear of puncturing the floor. Does anyone have any reccomendations as to jack up the car without punching holes in it?

Other than.. "drive it to the ground and hope you find another SR5 or a GTS in mint condition" no.. once the floor starts to rot, its gone

jack up using a wood board on the jack to spread out the weight.

use cinder blocks...with wood to spread out the weight when you take the jack out

or jack up at the axles?

Whatever you do, avoid the transmission pan and oil pans!! Jack up using suspension points as they are sturdy. If also rusted out, structurally your car might be gone soon as these bulkheads are supposed to be strong to withstand any forces.

No then you get some sheetmetal and a mig welder

Start to jack it up from the jack spots or the spots where you have the frame rails, should hold. Theres also another thing you could do. Put some tires on one side and tip the car onto the tires on its side, easy to weld the bottom when the car is on its side.

Don't you guys up there rust treat your undercarriage? Ziebart is one company that does rustproofing and Tuff-Kote Dinol is another, check them online. There are other numereous products such as Cascade Audio Sprayable VBX.
