Hi, I'm searching for what was labeled the "Assist Kick Panel" on my 1988 Corolla GTS. It has the heater, and AC fuses in it apparently, but I don't know where it is. It is winter, and I am cold. I want heat! I just need to know where that damned fusebox is.
Passenger side kick panel.... but the heater is controlled by the valve in the engineroom, if the cable has dislodged itself, you wont be able to turn the tap on.
no, it wouldn't be a thermostat..... it would be (like what flashmn said) the heater control valve.... could also be a clogged heater core, or even if the last owner had problems they may have looped the lines from the heater core......
the only electrical part is the blower motor

if it were the control valve, clogged core, or looped lines, how might i go about diagnosing which problem is depriving me of heat? also, if the electric blower motor is the part not working, that would not send heat at all. I wonder because, when I try to turn on the air in the air, no flow comes. Cold or not, no air is coming into the cabin via ventilation.....where would teh fuse for the blower motor be?
um, where is the fuse for the heater's blower? or how might i go about inspecting the blower? cuz i checked today and i do indeed get a very small amount of heat flow. however, it's just as if the heat is just flowing with the currents of the car. my guess is the blower is out, or the fuse is fried. someone point me in the right direction? oh and also, what is the 7.5a fuse in the assist kick panel? is there a diagram for the stuff in the passenger kick panel somewhere?
