when an automatic goes manual

this would probably be the most stupid question of the day, but i couldn't find the answer anywhere. so here it is:
i have an 4AFE automatic. i was thinking if i swap in a 4AGE, i might have to swap the shifters, the instrument gauges as well. it is easy to find a 4AGE motor with tranny, but not with those "accessories". has anyone done this kinda swap before? where can i find the parts? either OEM or nice aftermarket parts.

another question, if i do swap the motor and the tranny, would i have to swap the axles? and swapping the wiring harness doesn't sound like an easy thing to do on this particular project, is it true?

The automatic would bolt up to the 4A-GE
