Will a 1990 4afe head fit my 1997 4afe?

I unfortunately need to replace my cracked head in my 97 4afe. I have an available head from a 1990 4afe, but Im not sure if it will fit. Does anybody out there know? I need to replace asap, please post what you know.

You might have to get a different timing belt, however, the 1990 head is more inferior in design and the intake manifold wont fit, not 100% sure about the exhaust side.

umm that sucks. Do you know if that means that I need to replace it with only a 93-97 head?

I would try to get a 97 4AFE head to replace the damaged one.Alot less hassle. However if that proves difficult maybe you could try to get the latest model head you can find.....

Yeah, I'd shoot for a 93-97 head.

screw just getting the head.. getting a whole motor will probably be a lot cheaper.
