AE86 ae86 AMAZING

My friend happened to see one near where he lives, an old sr5. Has the gts seats though. So last night after we left his resturant we went to go see it (they are kind of rare around the barrie area, even the ae92's aren't in great numbers) and damn the ae86 sits ALOT higher than the ae92, but I soooooooooo want that car lol. Want to see if he is selling it, it's his winter beater and my friend thinks it's for sale.
It'll probably sound stupid as to why I want one. But it has alot to do with drifting and such, since I do it with the ae92 alot, but Front wheel drives aren't as much fun :p. Also has to do with how much I love my ae92, so much fun to drive. So I am thinking the ae86 is alot of fun too, from what I have heard it is . I have wanted a rear wheel drive car mostly because I can fix it alot easier. Ran into the ae92 way before I knew anything about the cars, thought it was rear wheel drive like the ae86 but when we got there, nope lol, but the car was just so cool I had to get it. Hell for 90hp it's kicking just about everythings ass through corners lol, but a saturn beat me on an uphill drag the other night, until he turned then I passed him, but then it was straight again, foot to the floor and I was barely keeping up :p

ANyways if anyone has postive or negative feed back on the ae86 tell me

AE86

I tend to have good luck with cars . I know enough to fix it and such. After my ae92 and how reliable it is I trust toyota's, maybe a little to much. BUt I don't know another car that can go from being drivin nicely to being in my hands. in the past 4 months 2 people have learned standard on it, I was going drifting EVERY night for the first 3 months, racing people all the time, redlining, going past the redline, never slowing down for anything lol. I know the ae86 doesn't have the 4afe, but damn this toyota has taken one hell of a beating and it keeps putting out.
Everyone knocks the 4afe because of it's lack of power, but if you know how to drive that car they are FAST! Just don't slow down for corners to keep your speed lol.

AE92

yea 89 ae92 sr5, 4af engine not even the efi version LOL. Hell I race alot, just depends on what kind of roads you are looking at. You can't be afraid of taking corners fast. I started by praticing in WIDE areas where I could get a fell of the car to know how it reacts at certain speeds. Learnt the hard way when I tried to drift between 2 curbs in downtown barrie on lakeshore (on their rights turns there's those little lanes that go between an island and such, anyways. I had a BAD tire on the car and I shifted the weight and it was all good till I tried to straighten out a bit lol, finding that out going sideways at 110 km/h isn't a good time lol, didn't beak anything THANK GOD! lol. But hell I out corner everything around here, probably has alot to do with people only wanting to drag.
My greatest one was with an acura el 1.6. Damn guy thought it would be funny to floor it when I went to pass him then give me the finger, now he left me in the dust when he did that. But giving me the finger... pissed me right off. So I waited until the brige by my house where he slowed down and I floored it. then gave him the finger. he tried to follow but within 3 corners I lost him. Like I Said people knock the 4af/4afe, but really even the 4age isn't that fast. It just depends on if you can drive or not, and how crazy you are LOL. You would be surprised to see how these cars handle if you ever try it out. Surprisingly very little body roll. The hardest thing is learning to drift with a front wheel drive without the e-brake :p I don't like to use my e break to turn, but if you like it then it;s even easier.

AE92

not as my winter beater, I would drive it all year lol. My friend says it's the guys winter beater. ANother friend's dad used to have one and he said it was alot of fun in the winter. Once you get used to it, it wouldn't be as bad. I know it will be alot harder in the winter than a front wheel, but w/e lol... just get some winter tires

Your stories sound like huge bs.
If they are true, you've got some crazy skills.

If you do get the 86, bring us some pics/vid =)
