AE92 gas tank

I have a 1988 toyota corolla gts, it has been sitting for 9 years and still runs. Thats not the point tho, over the 9 years the gas tank and fuel pump have gone bad and i need new ones. Where on the internet or in austin texas can i get a gas tank that goes on this car? does the gas tank from a corolla thats not a gts fit? like a sedan or whatever? also what are some good websights for oem parts for these cars and aftermarket parts? thanks!

Definatley get a used one check the local junkyards first. Since you guys dont have road salt or winter the tanks last ALOT longer. I know the sr5 and gts are the same not sure about the sedan.

9 years! that's sacrilegious!!

I'd look at junkyards too if I was you, probably pick them up for cheap.

AE92 sedan is not the same tank. I have the sevice manual for a AE92 from the dealer.
But the SR5 and GTS are the same. The only thing the SR5 doesnt have is in the intank fuel pump, but thats only if your car is an 88.

nope the only thing you need is the intank fuel pump bracket. The sr5 tank already has the hole. Im still using my SR5 tank, but now Im running GTS fuel lines and GTS fuel pump for my gze.

get an mk1 mr2 fuel pump... it's the same part number for both the n/a and the s/c..... but not the same part number for the ae92's.... the pump itself should be about the exact same dimensions and wiring and should bolt up no problem, but it should flow more fuel....

it would have to be a 90-91 sr5.....
