I use the belt most of the time but there are times when it feels like it's not necessary. After you've stopped at the mailbox and have to drive 200 m (on a private road) then stop get out and open a gate, drive in and park for example. The stupid thing just beeps and beeps and you just feel like smashing something.
Has anybody got a solution to the problem? At the garage they say it can't be turned off. That can't possibly be true?? Help!!!

I just went to the junkyard and got a matching snap in latch/buckle...I traced out of mine on cardboard and went car to car looking in a junkyard...They didn't have any late model Corollas so I matched one from a older Datsun, I snaps in great and and when I go on long drives I just throw it into my console box and use my seat-belt...It stops all the blinking lights and the noise and you don't even know its there

...I also picked one up for the passenger side
