Crashed my car!

Some lady pulled out of an alley and I smashed her.

My car is ugly messed up. Her SUV plowed right over my bumper into teh engine, hood front area all smahed, side panels bent. Driver door won't open, engine making horrible sound, If it's in reverse it's worse. Glovebox won't shut.

My question is what kind of cost am I looking at for getting this repaired?? the car maybe worth 5k (99 corrolla) are the repairs going to be alot? Thanks folks!

glovebox is not even closing? dude sounds like the frame might be bent, if so then its not even worth repairing it.. I'd sell it for parts for as much as its worth, you'll probably get more money out of it selling parts off the car than trying to fix it.

I haven't got the insurance quote from my adjuster yet, Probably won't get it until friday afternoon. But I'll be sure to post the info as soon as I have it.

I'm just hoping they pay enough of it if they do call it a total loss. The insurance money will cover the rest of what I owe on the car.

Anybody have any repair skills? an idea of what these repairs will cost? i think th blue book for this car is around 5k

If the damage is so bad that the glovebox isn't closing due to the frame twisting, it's probably going to get written off. That said, Ren is right. With that kind of damage, i don't think you'll want the car repaired. Chances are, it'll never drive correctly again.

Glad you're OK. That could have easily been you that could also be bent!

For any little thing you have a problem with (any pain at all), mention that to your insurance. You do not want that to linger years after the accident. Others still have pain even years after an accident. Hope that's not your case.

Goodluck on parting the car, seems like that's the only way out of this. I hope you find a better car. Be safe!

yea people tend to think because we drive small cars it's ok to pull out infront of us... Happens ALL The time with me and it pisses me right off. The one on the hwy yesterday would have been deadly. I'm flying down the hwy trying to max my car out, doing 175 km/h and the person goes into my lane maybe 50 feet away! like wtf you can SEE that I am going really fast lol. Stupid retarded people... or the ones who pull out infront of me at the LAST second and I am like wtf. If any of them fucked my car up and I could still walk to them I would literally kill them, like that woman would have been dead, thrown her on the grond and run her over with her own damn SUV! lol
Anyways glad to hear your ok. Usually SUV meets car works out VERY VERY badly for the person in the car as well, car's can be replaced, you can't
