Horn upgrade

On the way to work my horn crapped out on my while blowing at some idiot in a Ford, so I took it out when I got to the parking deck and matched it up the a 2002-2005 Tundra low pitch unit at work ( P/N 86520-0C020) and it is so much better. People actually pay attention when I blow instead of pointing and laughing at my old pathetic horn!!

I have the Hella Supertones...that thing is stupid loud. But horns are easy to do. Just grab any horn and mount it down so that it's grounded to the chasis. When you apply power it will blow.

I have three horns in my car righth now. The two super tones and the high one near the headlight somewhere that I'm too lazy to find.

Wow I didn't want to go that extreme! I just needed a horn to use in traffic because everyone seems to be in a SUV and can't see my little car pull up next to them, but I am sure your setup gets plenty of attention!! It probably scares the shit out of anyone not expecting all of that sound coming out of one car!!

I had a stupid little 92 ford escort for about a year. It was just trsportation, nothing more. I too get tired of stupid SUVs. I was wanting to go to a semi junkyard and salvage the horn system off of an old Mack truck. Mount the air tank and pump in the trunk and put about 8 of the horns behind my grille and headlights. That way if someone cut me off they would crap themselves as they think they are about to be hit by a semi that they didn't see.

Either that or do as my friend did with his deer spotting light, point it back and have the switch mounted in the cab. Someone tail-gates you, blind the crap out of them.

Put it this way...I was walking towards my car, from in front of it and I accidentally hit the panic button on the keyless entry. It hurt my ears bad and made me want to get down and cry...From insdie and to the rear, it doesn't sound much different. But from the front, or if the vehicle is aimed at a concrete wall...it's a different story.

The Hella Supertones are big too, so it might be a problem finding a place to mount them.

That video is funny. I had a similar effect on a bikini car wash girl standing on the side of the street...Though my horn doesn't sound like that and probably not nearly as loud.
