Hey Sebastien, there's a lot more people living in Southern Ontario and a lot more cars on the road as well. This means higher risks for collisions, thefts, vandalism for people living here, but insurance rates drop off a lot if you live in the rural areas on a farm or smaller towns up in cottage country. They changed the law here to a minimum fine of $5000 on your first conviction for driving without insurance and it goes up a lot more if you're convicted again. It used to be only a $200 fine per offense, but people were willing to pay the fine as a cost of not having to insure themselves. In the past, if you were quoted $10,000 for insurance you could save yourself $9800 even if you were caught. Now the fines cost as much as you pay in insurance so they have taken away that incentive.

PS: I heard you almost had to make an insurance claim on your cars the other night, that pisses me off...

If I was paying my insurance under my name I would be paying $2,700 a year for full coverage. But I have my insurance under my dad's name and listed me as the secondary driver, so I only pay $575 a year for full coverage.

I'm 21 and I live in Burlington. Burlington borders Hamilton to the east along the lake.

insurance

and i was complaing about what i pay in montreal. i pay 1000/year for 2 way full coverage as first and only driver and i'm 22 years old. i'm scared to see what it would be in toronto! sorry 2 hear that they took your stuff sab. at least its minor stuff and not the whole car! i like when someone took of my led washer jets! ( i know but i was a gift and i need washer jets for my car at the time. cuz i had none on teh car in winter!) anyways yeah. that was my anti thief system. i said "give them some else to take on your car instead of the car! " so far it worked.

Today's eyecandy winner
