old cars/new cars don't make that big of a difference

what matters is the AGE, and model

on the contrary, i was quoted for 4 grand plus for my suzuki.
brnad new. yes i asked for comprhensive

but comparing 2 grand for comprehensive on the 86 to 4 and a half on the suzuki, that's a huge difference

do your research before you speak aaron

think about it.

does the insurance pay more if you total the new car than they would covering a 16 year old shitbox?

yes they would

hence the higher premium

i heard this at the dinner table, my uncle was comparing his brand new sunfire to a 1990 (import) vehicle, and he said it was a couple hundred

perhaps its the model

and i think insurance companies know what a corolla GT-S is now....

i mean, a lightweight RWD sporty car has a pretty big chance of accidents....

obviously the sunfire is higher, and i don't think he mentioned the other car, think he was comparing it to his friend's, anyway the reason why i think there wasn't much difference is because the driver of the sunfire is a female, and the old import was a young dude

I would figure the Corolla would be lower since it's technically a 2 door coupe (has a 4 door counterpart), not a sports car? I hear this is irrelevant these days though...

you love to compare apples to oranges don't you

you cna't compare insurance quotes, unless it's the same driver with two different vehicles

fvck, it doens't take a rocket scientist to figure out no matter what car the young guy drive, he'll always pay more insurance than some lady..hell female drivers pay less than males at below 25 anyway.

(^^;.....to answer some q......insurance knows what corolla GTS is....(recently been quoted)
insurance will put 2 door as sports vehicles....but if it was corolla GTS HB...you can put it as 3 door...but they'll still quote you more becuz of RWD...
Age on the car won't matter if you were under age 24.
best way....third party
our family neva had an accident so i pay roughly about....700+ a year....
my old 323.....only 300+..... :o
