i need to replace my AC belt i think cuz i hear a screeching noise when i turn on the AC. to replace it, all i need to do is remove passenger tire and remove mud guard thingy behind it, and it should show the AC belt? its a 97 corolla

Loosen the alternator and ac idler pulley and it should come off.

this may sound stupid cuz ive never done it before, but where is the alternator located?

would i have to remove the passenger tire and wheel weld to access it?

No,you access it from the top. ...
Should you try this if you dont know where the alternator is?

imma go pick up a haynes manual tommorow, ill take a look at the procedure and stuff and if i cant do it, oh well

i found the alternator, but i didnt see any belts for the AC, where is the AC belt located?
