How much should i lower?

I have an 04 Corolla S with 17x7 rims wrapped in 225/45R17 tires. I definately want to lower the car and have plans to get an alignment and camber kit put in along with it. But I don't know how low to drop it, I'm afraid of having some problems with a 2.3/2.1 in. drop with Tein for example. I have tried to look up several brands such as Intrax, skunk2, eibach, h+r sport and more. I was thinking of going with 1.6 frt/rear with B+G S2 springs. Will that not be enough? I want a comfortable ride, I'm not a racer and have seen good things about the B+G's. Later on I'll get some new shocks/struts to go along with the drop and help with the ride. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
