USA How do you like your 06 corolla

Hello,
I am thinking about buying an 06 corolla LE and I was wondering how people liked their 06 corolla. I was wondering if they had any problems like the warm start problem or any other problems that would make them not buy another one.

I have an 05 Corolla CE. Other than the little issue with the warm starting problem, I love the car. It rides like a small Lexus! i would highly recommend Corolla to anybody. As for the starting issue, it is just a little glitch! it will be fixed eventuly!

I have a 05 corolla which is the same as the 06 except the 06 has variable speed wipers. I have experienced no problems with the S type that I have. I have read all the posts about the warm start problem but I have never experienced it. I have previously owned a camry and 2 chevy prizms one of which is still in the family and none of them have given me any problems other than normal wear items. My daughter is presently running the 01 chevy prizm about 80 miles a day on commute to work and putting the car thru the gridlock of Tampa Fl every day and it is taking it like a trooper.

I have owned an '06 S for about a month now and love it. No starting problems yet and mileage is about 33-36 with city/highway mix. The ride is good...they need to telescope the steering wheel imho but other than that...I love it so far!

S type... holy shit! first its a Honda (Type S).. now its a Jaguar!

We had an 05 Corolla S for about a month and it rides nice! I'd buy one but of course it would be an XRS (or is it a Type XRS now?? )

I would wait for the 10th generation models 2007's to come out next year, I heard their going to be real eye catchers, why waste your money on an 06 if its exactly like the 05 models if you want one bad enough just buy an 05 at thousands less and you'll still get the same car ....Also how do you know the starting problems the 05's have aren't the going to be the same on the 06's ....

All 9th generation 03-06 have variable speed wipers(4 speed)...What your talking about is intermittent variable speed wipers that have a range of speeds that you can adjust, the only models this feature comes on is the LE 03-06 and is not even an option on other models...Radd Guy...

If you need a car right now I don't think you can go wrong with a '05-'06 Corolla - - I have a '05 CE 5-speed for my daily commuter - - no problems and getting 38 mpg. I test drove just about everything before buying this car (Honda, Mazda, Suzuki, Kia, etc) and you can't beat the Corolla for trunk space and rear seat room - - it's a nice little car.

Good luck

I bought an 06 CE to commute to work in. Mine is an automatic and I'm averaging 35 mpg. The worst I've seen is 30, the best is 41. I have about 5000 miles on it now, and thus far, have had absolutely no problems with it. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. There are a couple of small things I would change. The dash lights and the console lights are different colors, and I wish it had intermittent wipers. I also got a base model....so no cruise control or power locks or windows...my old car has spoiled me, I kinda miss those options. I did get what I wanted, a relativly inexpensive car to put miles on while driving to work. I'd reccomend one.
