exhaust removal on 94' corolla

how do I take off my exhaust pipes? (muffer especially) I tried to unscrew the screws attached to the rubber thing that attaches to another hinge, but the screws wont budge? holy dam, those screws are on there tight, am i gonna need a more powerful tool to get the screws off besides my hand power wrench? or I was thinking of cutting out the rubber hinge things with a knife or something, BUT i still can't remove the screws attached to the muffler from the pipe, any ideas?? Thanks

Stick some CRC or WD40 or similar on there. Probably just rusted tight. Let the stuff soak for a bit too.
