OK, 1984 Corolla. I failed inspection - NOx was high. I took off and cleaned the EGR valve, and the O2 sensor is pretty new. Still failed. Just got a new cat put on. Generic one at Meineke. Cost was $225 - they welded it on. Would have done it myself but those bolts NEVER come off. I'll take it back for inspection tomorrow. Question: Is that about the right price? I know the cat probably cost them $30.
