Why dont you try a 20 valve 4AGE or a 4AGZE (supercharged) swap.. they're both toyota and they will both fit, but it will cost you some money. I rather do that than sit there and wonder if I can put a V8 in a 4-cylinder car.
wait a minute.. this guy don't even have a license yet.. and he wants tons of HP???? how stupid can you get.. this is why lots of new drivers are getting nailed on insurance.. cuz as soon as they get in the car, they fuk up.
How about this man.. get your license, then spend a couple of years learning to drive properly, THEN maybe you can think about getting a big engine car.. that is IF you can afford the high insurance for a new driver on a sports car. driving is not just about getting in the car and driving, you have responsibilities too.

This is a joke right? Cuz im pretty sure this isnt gonna werk in your *lol* *snicker* 97 SD Corolla *snicker*. These guys are flaming you cuz you dont have enough knowledge of your car and that GM engine. And they are also flaming you cuz they are a bunch of assholes. If you wanna work on the audio and look of your car, go to another site. Most guys here will give you some tips but they are more performance oriented. You said you wanted HP. How much do you want? Cuz the FWD cannot handle too much unless its for drags and is strictly a track car. If you need a little bit more pep from your car, do a search on Club4ag.com. 4agze or 20V would be sufficient. But i really dont think you should be doing anything to your car right now, especially since you dont even have a license.
