I want to get the real trueno bumper, not the one with the BIG corner lights... but even with my ae92 I haven't a clue where to find jdm parts :| other than the engine.

i guess i have a fake trueno bumper
zenki trueno AND kouki trueno are both REAL TRUENOS
I don't likw the zenki and Kouki look, I want the trueno look from intial d, I don't like the HUGE lights in the bumpers. But I like the smaller grill below the hood and how the bumper becomes your grill.
I figured someone on here would know where to get jdm parts since I know some people on here have to have some :p
well see it's not that easy finding 86's in the first place. Most have the North american GTS bumper. So I will jut buy it. I bet toyota can get me one :P I don't care I'm willing to pay a bit for it lol
Buy micro's brother's car.. he's selling an AE86 for about $3000.
Toyota WAS able to get it for you, but the bumper doesn't meet crash standards so you're lucky if you're able to find it now.. some dealers still haven't caught on.
In my other thead I said I found one in Scarborough. red. Sounds like the engine runs amazing, felt amazing when I drove it. Needs tonns of body work though. It's an 87. They wanted 3000 but wtf with that body? lol I said 2500 only because I really want an 86 and am tired of waiting for a clean gts to come along for a decent price.
JDM zenki bumpers, I believe, are not available anymore from Toyota USA. Your best bet would be to go on club4ag and search their FS section or contact Max_Misawa on there. He seems to be able to get alot of things.
My contact can get the kouki stuff right away, but as I said before, the zenki stuff is hard to come by.

for $500 more you can have Mike's brother's AE86 its also red and its in Scarborough.. and in better shape.

fwiw, the zenki bumper goes straight across at the top and has a larger grill, while the kouki bumper goes up into the grill, thus requiring a grill with shorter height...aesthetic parts sell on club4ag a lot more frequently than any canadian based forums from what i've noticed...hth
thanks for the tips. Man I will stick with the 87 I found for 2500 I will take a 4000 loan and that will be enough for the safety, emissions, and if it needs anything to safety it.
