Ambient Temperature - Metric/English

Does anybody know how to change the ambient temperature sensor on the dashboard from metric to english or from english to metric degrees on a 04 Corolla LE?

I've searched the repair manual but I couldn't find it.

Thanks

No way. It has to be in the manual. I'm sure I've seen it in the manual where they talk about the dash cluster and temp gauge stuff. Does Toyota USA have a 1-800 customer service #? If so, call them - they'll know.

He refers to imperial measurements... But there is US and UK imperials too. Slightly different amounts.

I also want to know the answer to this. I have a 2006 (new) Corolla LE, and I'd like to see the outside temp displayed in Celsius, currently Fahrenheit.

The Manual definitely does not tell how to do this.

I'm afraid I can't help with changing the display, but I can give you a down-dirty quick way to do the calculation from farenheit to celcius and vice versa. To go from F to C, take 30 degrees off, then divide by 2 and you have a close approximation to celcius. E.g., 80 F less 30=50, divide by 2=25 degrees C. Of course, pushing a button would be better. :-)
