i'm no expert on this but i think u'll need to swap engine heads and chassis....there were many posts regarding the SR5 conversion project, look around this board they should be there, or goto club4ag.com, i'm sure they discussed that there
Yes that would be wacky...it's concievable, but...
remember, the S2000 is a pretty new car, unless the donor car was rear-ended, or you buy it brand new, you will not easily find an S2000 motor.
Oh, and if you do, imagine how much you'd have to pay for it. I think the last time I asked how much a JDM Type R motor was...it was WADS of cash...now imagine how many lifetimes or working it would take you to buy that motor, and you still have to find a good shop that can fabricate all the custom stuff that you'll need...you'll be paying lifetimes of labour to these guys.
I'd rather take a half dead 4AG in an AE86 and horse around with that, than to go through that kind of financial struggle.
all that 6 cyc into the nose of an ae86 would be mad power in that cross-bred mayhem, but still, i don't think that all that weight over the front axle is going to do much for steering, if anything, will just allow the car to go straight.. boooo..
anyways,
lates

Doing that much work on a car that old ... you're just asking for trouble. I know you're only wondering but man, these cars come for no more that a couple thousand nowadays. But the engine would prolly at least double that depending on your choice. And labour would be more than the car price as well. I think it's a cool thing to attempt as a shop owner perhaps to prove something but not really for your average joe schmoe. It's just not economical.
kinda like this
