clutch adjustment

i have a 98 CE that just had a clutch job. the clutch was wearing out and starting to slip, and the engaugement point was waay high. after i had a mechanic put in an aftermarket clutch it stopped slipping but the engaugement point was still kinda high. i know my car has a hydraulic clutch so it shouldnt need adjustment, but is there a way to adjust the engaugement point without taking off the transmission? i know there is a threaded rod that connects the pedal to the master cylinder. would adjusting that solve my problem? oh and btw my flywheel was resurfaced during the install. would this drastically increase the distance between the flywheel and the clutch disk causing a high engaugement point?

another problem i'm starting to develop is a lot of audible vibration when going over bumps. i just got new shocks along with h&r springs. does anyone know where to get aftermarket bushings for a 98-02?

how come you want to change it from the high engagement point? That allows for quicker shifts so you dont have to push the clutch all the way to the floor. As for the adjustments I'm not sure I didnt really understand what they had told me.

NO! You always have push the clutch all the way in.
lower engagement point = faster shifts.

The clutch engages high because it's a Corolla, not a sports car. The actual engagement point is not adjustable as far as I know. A hayne's manual will have the spec for how high off the the floor the pedal is, as long as it is within the range given, it shouldn't need to be adjusted.

the thing is that when we 1st bought the car the engaugement point was almost at the floor. as the clutch wore out the engaugement point moved up. now that i bough an aftermarket clutch it doesnt slip but it starts to chatter 1/2 way off the floor and when driving it doesnt fully grip till i fully release the pedal right at the top of pedal travel

Was the Pressure Plate replaced as well? Because if it wasn't that would mean it's getting worn, and it's now weak, so the engaugement point is going to be much higher.
