Get a Toyota harness from an auto parts store, Wal-Mart, stereo shop, or online retailer... The radio is held in by four screws, and the surround/bezel is held in by four clips, so it simply pulls out once you've removed the ventilation knobs and pulled the air conditioner switch out.

You *don't* have to buy an aftermarket bezel/mounting kit. the Radio has a bracket on each side held in by two screws, and each bracket is held to the car with two screws. Any new aftermarket radio will come with new screws (M5x8) for fixing the brackets to the radio. The factory bezel will work just fine. The only thing you have to buy is a wiring harness to plug in so you don't have to cut the factory wiring.

Go there and find your car and it will provide stereo install information in PDF format for free. I found install info for my mom's 99 Corolla. All I need now is a factory wiring harness so I can do a clean job. Looks really easy to install the stereo. Has to be easier than my 97 VW GTI VR6. I haev that in but I had to do some cutting, splicing and soldering, plus the cables are still not totally tucked back in the dash correctly. Tight in there.
