EIBACH or APEX for AE92 (1991 Corolla GT-S)

I was set on buying EIBACH springs for my 1991 AE92 but then i found that there are APEX springs with more drop also. I have intrax on right now.. but they suck and my car hits the bump stop too much

to decide.. in need to kno... will the apex sag...

will the eibach's sag (so my ride height is good)

Which are stiffer??

how's the wheel well gap with each one?

i have 17in SSR's with nitto 205 40 17's on
(i have neg .5 in wheel well gap in front)

respond or AIM me at Liquidscorpionx THXX

i have apex springs with probably 60-70k between the 2 owners no sag as of yet they seem a little harsh sometimes but i don't have much to compare too. they definately make the car handle nice

Eibach's give you a 1" drop only, the APEX and Intrax give you 1.7" but APEX springs are better springs than the Intrax IMO. However the APEX springs will be just as rough as the Intrax they just won't sag though.

If you go to APEX springs, you won't see too big of a difference in ride quality, however struts will make a bigger difference. What do you have for struts? I have KYB GR2s on my 89 GTS and OEM on my 90 GTS, both have APEX springs and I think my 89 GTS rides better than the 90 GTS. I'll be doing either a KYB AGX adjustables up front + GR2 on the back OR Tokico adjustables all around depending on money issues. I'll probably end up going with the KYB setup instead as I have some inevitable purchases to do soon.

i have kyb gr2's on right now

i have KYB GR2's on...

Ok... ppl have been telling me to cut my bumpstops in 1/2.... did u guys already do this?..

would it really help that much since it only takes off about... 0.75in?......

does 0.75 more in. of travel for my struts make a big difference??

I have NO wheel well gap in front as u can see...

Ren69, do u think u can IM me?... (assuming u have aim)... at Liquidscorpionx? thanks..

Oh ..and btw... performance wise... which would be better than.. APEX or EIBACH?

You have the same gap I do.. enough for a finger to get in. No I didn't cut the bumpstops, and the shop that did the struts for me didn't suggest it either, not sure if it would make a diff.. it might though. I don't have AIM btw, and performance wise... not sure. The Eibach might be more comfortable than the APEX though as the Eibach is only a 1" drop.

Depends what your meaning of small ones is.. my car seems to bottom out most of the time. BTW do your tires/wheels rub the fenders or the frame??? Reason I'm so curious is that there's a couple of sets of 17" wheels I've seen for sale that I'm interested in buying.

what suspension do you have, I;m interested in this thread because suspension is another area I was thinkin of upgrading, not that the sr5 suspension is all that bad, I just think I want tighter.

Dear god man, shrink that sig picture!

I can't believe you got 17's on there, with 205/40's even!

I can't offer suggestions, but how do you like the GR2's? I was thinking about those and Eibach's for my SR5.
