Ok so i was driving home from college last night and i was going 79 on the highway. Im not really a good fixer upper person so i needsome help. My engine made a very loud popping noise and my engine started to smoke and shut itself off all in about 2 seconds lol. I pulled over and called to get towed. I have oil all over my engine any insite of what i should for that broke would help Thanks a ton
Only plug was still in so my first guess was wrong
Could i drop a 1994 engine into it
I was going to take an engine from a wrecked toy corralla 1994 but it was an automatic and mine is a standard. Is it a pain to switch it. tell me what you need for info and ill try to get it for you
if a rod broke and went though the block, then yes..... at the VERY least you need a new shortblock (the lower 1/2 of the motor, essentially) and all of the gaskets required to swap it out.

so whats your estimated cost that it would take? I do ahve the 1994 engine toy corolla from a friend but hers was automatic mine was standard not sure if that matters
